SUNSpACe Kick-off Meeting

We are pleased to inform you that the project SUstainable developmeNt Smart Agriculture Capacity: – SUNSpACe” has officially been launched from February 25 to March 01, 2019, in Chiang  Mai, Thailand.

This event has been hosted by Chiang Mai University. Various activities were developed within the framework of this event, including workshops and field visits.

  SUNSpACe is an Erasmus + Capacity Building in Higher Education project, a collaboration between educational institutions in Europe and Asia, comprising: 1. University Lumiere Lyon 2, (France), University of the West of Scotland (UK),  Corvinus University of Budapest (Hungary), Royal University of Bhutan (Bhutan), Kantipur Engineering College (Nepal), ACME Engineering College (Nepal), Khon Kaen University and Chiang Mai University (Thailand).

The main 5 objectives of this project:

  1. To train farmers in Asian Partner countries
  2. To target groups in the country Alliances in Asia with cooperation from European Union universities
  3. To promote knowledge management systems for adding value to product production Cost control Risk management
  4. To use technologies to develop farmers, so they become Smart Farmers
  5. To use Smart Technologies to promote sustainable agriculture

The project will have a duration of 3 years from January 2019 to January 2022.
